This week, Snapchat followed best practices when releasing its brand new ad platform.
As explained by David Cohen (@davidcohen) in his new post, "Snapchat Ads Application-Programming Interface rolled out over this past weekend, enabling Snapchat Ads Partners to sell ad inventory via automated bidding platforms and algorithms."
Like Facebook's AdEspesso, Snapchat's API will use an auction format that, "factors in the performance of creative, targeting and bidding in determining which Snap Ads to deliver." However, you should only expect to track your ad campaign if you buy in to API.
